i was so excited to find such a unique selection of craft beer when we visited this incredible free play arcade 👾

it's full of vintage pinball machines, beloved classic arcades from across the decades and the coolest japanese taiko drum game my husband and i played for so long! i picked out a beer for everyone from the bar and chose this 11th anniversary peach sour from @soprobrewco for myself 🍑 peach panther comes in at just 6.5% and is incredibly refreshing. it has a delicious sour sweetness, without any fake candy peach flavor. and i love when a can is perfectly carbonated!

Happy @brewserbeer delivery day, to all those who celebrate 🎊

This month, I decided to order the @arbor.ales discovery box and I've reached straight for their 5.5% dry-hopped stout: The Devil Made Me Brew It 😈.

Pours jet-black with a tan, fluffy head; on the nose you get mainly chocolate, coffee and a strong whiff of pine. The Citra, Mosaic, Bravo and Simcoe in this definitely provide some welcome aromatics and a hoppy kick, but don't detract from the rich, roasty base. Soft, full, creamy body; malt-forward with just the right amount of bitterness. Yum!

Plus....who doesn't love a pint can?!

happy st. paddys day! while this @trimtabbrewing paradise now can is a beautiful green, it's the delicious raspberry berliner weisse brew inside that sham-rocks. it's absolutely my new favorite pink beer; i'm surprised it hasn't won more awards than just the 2017 gabf bronze medal for fruit wheat beer. the raspberry tastes garden fresh, the mouthfeel is perfectly balanced, it's tart but not sour and there's no heavy, wheaty aftertaste. i actually ordered this at a local bar, then immediately went and purchased a 6-pack after. sláinte, friends 💚 sav!

It is a beautiful day in the Sierra. There has been snow, sleet, sun and rainbows at 2,200ft. With a break in the storm, I took a moment to listen to the dripping of snow melt, and feel the cold air on my skin. Breathe in, breathe out.

Today I’m enjoying the Oak Town Brown Ale from @calicraft

Is wanting a roasty beer on a cold day cliche? I’m not sure, but I am sure that this is a good one. Quite roasty from all the malt and three (three!) oaks added, a bit bitter with the Cascade hops, and a lot tasty.

I see patio weather on the horizon!

Oh my goodness, the weather has been so lovely lately - the sun and the warm temps are such a sweet, sweet balm for the soul in the midst of this political and economic hellscape.

This @andersonvalleybrewing Brother David’s Triple is helping also! Belgian beers are my favorite - and this one is a standout. Brother David is brewed with lots of pale malts as well as Belgian candi sugar. It has a beautifully deep golden hue and aroma of orange peel, clover honey, pears, a hint of spring grasses, bringing splash of hope for better days to come.

Winter isn’t over yet, and it may continue for a while longer, but the sun’s warmth is so reassuring and strengthening to my soul.

I remember the days when I couldn't stand IPAs. In reality, it took me a while to find my preferred style. There's something about a smooth and silky IPA, especially with a fruity palette?! Now we have a party! 🎉🍻

Fruit Vigilante @evergrainbeer that tastes like a fruited shake; double dry hopped with Simcoe, Citra, & New Zealand Motueka hops - 6.8% ABV

Have an open mind. Don't be afraid to try new things. I'm glad I did. 🤗

We've had some friends over to watch the rugby today. I've been trying to cut down on my alcohol intake generally, so we bought in some absolute bangers of AF beers to share with them, including Flwrs by @beakbrewery and @wecanbefriendsuk .

Saturated with Citra, Idaho 7, Motueka and Mosaic, this beer is packed with flavour yet only 0.5%! Good body; juicy; light; pithy, AND guilt free! 100% the best AF beer I've tried!

There’s no place like home.

I moved to Fort Collins in 2017, a year that seems like yesterday and a lifetime ago. It was just my husband, dog, and I at that time. We bought a house, remodeled the basement, filled it with a few kids, and spread our roots in our little corner of FoCo. Our neighbors have become our family, and our kids have already made what seem to be lifelong buddies. Once a person who could be “at home” wherever I was, I know now what “home” truly feels like.

Fort Collins is also home to at least 26 breweries, and produces 70% of Colorado’s craft beer.

@hellobrewco is one of those breweries. It is located just outside of Old Town, situated in an adorable 1904 bungalow with a welcoming porch and cheery interior. They only have a handful of beers on tap at a time, and each one is a testament to their focus on technique, ingredients, and presentation. The vibes here are warm, inviting, and free of any excess. To go with my theme of home, @hellobrewco is truly very homey and I love it very much.

Here, I’m drinking George III (imperial stout) and Double Duck (Double Hazy IPA). I couldn’t decide which was better! They were both so well done.

It may be March, but it's still stout season! I saw this Imperial Stout @totalwine and had to snag it! I don't come across @imprintbeerco often, so this was such a treat! 🤤

This stout is sweet, robust, and packs a punch with its 13.5% ABV. If you get a chance to try this one, don't pass it up!

A taproom on a sunny day just hits differently 👌🏼

Today, I was visiting one of my very best friends in Bristol. After an amazing lunch at @thegardenofeastonbristol (literally my heaven as a plant enthusiast 🌱🪴) we popped over to the @wiperandtruetaproom - somewhere I have been wanting to visit for a loooong time! Loved how bright, open and airy the whole taproom was, and how you have a full view of @wiperandtrue 's incredible kit.

Thoroughly recommend Little Confetti: a 4% mango and passionfruit sour. For such a low ABV, this was super tasty. I'd say the passion fruit has a slight edge over the mango, but both do very much come through. Deliciously juicy and gently tart.

It was only the half for me today as I knew I'd have to drive home, but definitely planning another trip back soon!

Spotted: Meg in FoCo!

I was so thrilled to hang with Meg and her family at @odellbrewing yesterday. She was visiting for just a few days while they closed on their house, fully investing in their beautiful Grass Valley life. Can’t wait to visit!

We got there right at noon, sampled several beers, both landing on the “Stanky Danky,” a super dank, resinous, hazy double IPA.

The weather here has been incredible: sunny, over 60°, everyone outside exercising or enjoying a midday brew. Or both! I think patio season is upon us. So glad that Meg and fam could get their FoCo fix in favorable weather!

I had the pleasure of sipping on this lovely Midwestern fruit tart from @urban.artifact 🍻

How can you go wrong with peach, right? 🍑
Not too sweet, but not too tart - this brew packed a punch at 7.9% abv (although, you wouldn't know by the taste).

This tastes like love in a can, and I'd expect nothing less from this brewery. @urban.artifact is one of my favorites! What are some of your favorite breweries?

Thank you so much @drinkwynk for sharing your bright and refreshing bevvies with me! This Lime Twist (and their 4 other flavors) contain a low dose of THC (5mg) paired with an equal dose of CBD which has so many wonderful anti-inflammatory and anxiety-reducing properties. I feel like this drink has almost a medicinal quality! And it’s so perfect for someone with an inflammatory autoimmune condition (like me!).
