And what better to accompany sunny weather than a BBQ and a few beers?

I started off the evening with an absolute classic German beer: @augustinerbraeu_muenchen 's Helles 🇩🇪. Soft, bready, malty backbone, with notes of honey and a touch of Digestive biscuit. Lovely, delicate floral hop notes throughout, balancing some of the sweetness without dominating. Crisp, clean and effortlessly smooth 👌🏼

Meet Paul Bartlett — a pear saison brewed by @aladerive_brasserie in Gatineau, QC. I had the absolute pleasure of sipping this beauty during a weekend getaway to Montréal, and wow.

Crisp, effervescent, and perfectly balanced with notes of juicy pear, a hint of pepper, and that signature saison spice. I’m a sucker for saison yeast—it brings out those fruit esters and subtle complexities that make each sip a delight.

A standout beer in a standout city.

So....this clearly isn't beer, lol. But this is my current vibe. This tasty cabernet sauvignon is perfect for a rainy day. I prefer dry reds, so this is up my alley. Not sweet, yet the fruity undertones present themselves nicely. If you're on a budget but want something tasty, this is a good one.

This bottle was $10 at my local grocery store.

Tonight I accomplished some goals from my late teens: go to @thesinkboulder, and see @nadasurf_official at the @foxtheatreco.

Matthew and co have such a diverse repertoire and are amazing musicians. It makes sense why they wouldn’t want to play a commercially successful song forced upon them by record labels of yore. I was creeping around the stage and I spied the set list and omg Popular was the first song on the encore!! I lost my $hiT. The rest is history. What an incredible night!

When you've worked all day, come home, chased after a kiddo for a few hours and then finished the bedtime routine, sometimes a beer just calls your name.

The husband kindly gifted me a 2022-23 bottle of Oude Mourvédre Tilquin à l'Ancienne for Christmas, but it felt so special, I made myself wait 😂 (Seems silly writing that.... Does anyone else do that?!)

@gueuzetilquin produce some of my very favourite Belgian lambics. Oude Mourvédre Tilquin à l'Ancienne is a spontaneous ferm beer, made from fermenting 185g of Mourvédre grapes by litre of lambic. Pours the most stunning pinky-red colour. Oak, red wine and citrus all on the nose. Tongue-tinglingly tart, but this is also balanced out perfectly by the more fruity flavours of grape, cranberry and perhaps even rhubarb.

Gueuzerie Tilquin constantly remind me how much I adore lambics and how I wish I could have them more often 😭

Today I went out to lunch with a beloved friend, and also fell in love with a new café AND a new beer all on the same day!

Get Lost Lager from @shelterdistilling really nailed the balance between malt and hops. This light, crisp, German lager was the perfect accompaniment to @breadfellowoldtown sourdough bread.

Also, I LOVE when a Colorado beer has Colorado hops.

I feel so local right now.

This one was light and refreshing, with a low ABV (4.5%) - perfect to sip on before the holiday shenanigans. The sun was shining, and we could not have asked for a better day.

Hasn't this week's weather in the UK been GLORIOUS?! Absolutely perfect for a cheeky garden beer or two. My Hovercraft Is Full Of Eels isn't just a great Monty Python reference, it's a deliciously juicy NEIPA 😋

On the nose, you get a burst of tropical fruits: mango, pineapple and grapefruit, and a good helping of dankness. On first sip, overripe citrus, peach and mango all come through, wrapped up a a pillowy soft body. Low bitterness, slightly sweet, hiiiiighly drinkable.

I’ve never been this excited about a bar opening in Fort Collins. Wobble HiFi is bringing much needed city vibes to our town with its sleek, sexy interior, carefully curated cocktails, craft beer, and record collection.

Their soft opening last night showed Fort Collins exactly what has been missing from the scene: craft culture, elevated.

My hubs and I sampled 3 cocktails and one collaboration brew (Eugene by Wobble + @hellobrewco) and we got a preview of the bespoke vermouth they will have on tap. Vermouth on tap. It’s a whole thing.

I can’t wait to go back.

Hope all you mamas in the UK had a fantastic Mother’s Day last Sunday! We had a big family get-together at @topshambrewery, where I got to enjoy a pint with both my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law. 🍻

While we were there, I stuck to my new favourite: The Scenic Root - a beer playfully named after my husband’s most recent running-related injury. While out on the Devon coast path, he managed to trip over a tree root, bust his kneecap wide open, and earn himself a fresh scar for the collection. Classic.

The Scenic Root is a 4.5% hazy pale ale, brewed with Motueka, Citra, Citra Cryo, Idaho 7, and Pomona. And let me tell you, it's sooo drinkable. It pours a beautiful golden haze, with loads of tropical fruit on the nose. Smooth-bodied with notes of mango and candied lime. Honestly, dreamy.

i was so excited to find such a unique selection of craft beer when we visited this incredible free play arcade 👾

it's full of vintage pinball machines, beloved classic arcades from across the decades and the coolest japanese taiko drum game my husband and i played for so long! i picked out a beer for everyone from the bar and chose this 11th anniversary peach sour from @soprobrewco for myself 🍑 peach panther comes in at just 6.5% and is incredibly refreshing. it has a delicious sour sweetness, without any fake candy peach flavor. and i love when a can is perfectly carbonated!

Happy @brewserbeer delivery day, to all those who celebrate 🎊

This month, I decided to order the @arbor.ales discovery box and I've reached straight for their 5.5% dry-hopped stout: The Devil Made Me Brew It 😈.

Pours jet-black with a tan, fluffy head; on the nose you get mainly chocolate, coffee and a strong whiff of pine. The Citra, Mosaic, Bravo and Simcoe in this definitely provide some welcome aromatics and a hoppy kick, but don't detract from the rich, roasty base. Soft, full, creamy body; malt-forward with just the right amount of bitterness. Yum!

Plus....who doesn't love a pint can?!

happy st. paddys day! while this @trimtabbrewing paradise now can is a beautiful green, it's the delicious raspberry berliner weisse brew inside that sham-rocks. it's absolutely my new favorite pink beer; i'm surprised it hasn't won more awards than just the 2017 gabf bronze medal for fruit wheat beer. the raspberry tastes garden fresh, the mouthfeel is perfectly balanced, it's tart but not sour and there's no heavy, wheaty aftertaste. i actually ordered this at a local bar, then immediately went and purchased a 6-pack after. sláinte, friends 💚 sav!
